This course provides students with knowledge of
the theoretical bases from which to conduct group psychotherapy and the
experience to formulate goals, objectives and plans for a psychotherapy group.
Students will demonstrate an ability to perceive and describe group dynamics;
develop an understanding of the practical issues and problems related to beginning,
conducting, and evaluating the group process; demonstrate an ethical foundation
and awareness of professional issues; and demonstrate an awareness of self as a
group leader
