Examination of the causes and consequences of biodiversity loss and presents the most common models, field methods, and scientific tools, used to conserve biological diversity.
Students will understand threats to biodiversity posed by all forms of human development with particular emphasis on climate change.
Students will be able to describe the economic social, emotional, and spiritual threats posed by loss of biodiversity.
Students will understand the most common evidence-based, scientific strategies for sustaining biodiversity.
Students will be able to communicate effectively to all human communities about the need to preserve biodiversity.
