This course explores Buddhist rituals and their application in various
chaplaincy settings, emphasizing the Four Universal Sufferings: Birth, Old Age,
Sickness, and Death. Students will also examine interfaith rituals to
understand how chaplains can serve diverse populations. Weekly reflection
papers, reading presentations, two midterm projects, and a final assignment
will help students integrate their learning and apply it practically.
